Riding Tip of The Day: DO NOT use hand signals to communicate with other motorists, especially cagers. MOST motorists do not know about hand signals, so they DO NOT understand your hand signals. USE your bike signals!

I am riding a 2010 Ultra limited, and so far, I have put on very close to 25000 miles. I have a feeling that I have been riding too much, as I have seen some older bikes have much lower mileage than mine. I am wondering what is your bike mileage, especially for those newer bikes. Let show yours!

I have heard many new to Harley motorcycle riders talking about the "fear" that the bike will roll forward, and fall off the jiffy stand. Don't worry! The bike will not fall, even if it is parked on a slightly downhill level.
At the fold up position. You can see that the latch (lower arrow) is "out" of the locking slot (upper arrow).
At the "out" position (not engaged yet)You can see that the latch is not lined up to the locking slot, but they are not mate yet.
At leaning position (engaged). As soon as you lean the bike to the ground, this action will push (engage) the latch into the locking slot, and at this position, the bike can not move forward to disengage the jiffy stand from the locking slot. as long as the bike is leaning on the jiffy stand.
I am about to open up a can of worms. But here goes I am 5'7 just got this Road King and found the stock bars to far forward and not high enough. If i close my eyes and reach for where bars should be I am 2 inches higher and 2 inches back. Any idea what bars I can switch too and still use the same cables and wiring. Thanks Farmer
I finally decide to get into the Power Vision PV1. The first thing is I call Dyno Jet to confirm with them that I can transfer the PV from one bike to another bike, if I sold the current one. The confirmation is YES! That's a good start. The next step is sending a email to Jamie of Fuelmoto to see what he can do for me, as I have purchased the whole power package from him. If anyone has any experience on the PV, please chime in to give me yours, so I can make the final decision. Buy the PV, or get the Dyno, which I really don't want to. Thanks much in advance Nick
How to build a "smoke machine" to detect exhaust leaks

Remove and install the exhaust is always the PITA, and you have to repeat the PITA again, if you have the exhaust leaks. I hope you don't!
There are many suggestions of how to detect the leak, and one of them, normally is not the option, but it is the best method: smoke test. After doing some research, I come up with a simple "smoke machine", which costs me nothing, and it is good enough to check for leak. Here how I did it!
What you need:
Some paper towels
Some oil - it doesn't what kind
A glass, or metal container that has a long shape like a tall drinking glass. I prefer the container that has an open mouth diameter about 3 inches, so the smoke will come out, not too fast, but not too slow.
A lighter
How to create smoke
Dampen the paper towel with oil. Do not soak it!
Light up the paper until it has a good fire.
Put the lit paper inside the open container, which is in the upside down position to trap the smoke. Wait until the smoke fill up the container, and the fire is out, then close the lid.
There you go! You now have a "smoke machine' that is ready for the leak test.
Turn on the engine for few minutes, and open the lid of the "smoke machine" just below exhaust joint, and look for any movement of the smoke. You should have enough smoke in few seconds to determine, if there is any air movement around the exhaust joint. Of course, you can repeat the "procedure" as many times as you want, until you feel good, or feel bad enough that you have to take the exhaust apart to redo everything again. I hope you don't have to do everything again. Good luck and have fun. Happy riding! Nick
Note: I will try to post a video so you can see. Later!

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will put you in touch with him and you can deal directly with him. He tried the dealer and said they only wanted to give him 3800.
