Hi all!
After many days of research and reading the manual, I have decided to replace the stock handlebar of my 2010 Ultra Limited for a Harley pull back handlebar (PN # 56176-08), by myself. :)
Interestingly, there are many misleading information out there, and no one has even clarified the info.  I will try to explain as much details as possible, and I have also taken as many photos as I can, to show to all the ones, who have no clue, as myself, about changing a handlebar.

I will CLEARLY tell you right now that you DO NOT NEED to replace any cable and any parts (unless you want to), and/or REROUTE any cable. as many "experts" have claimed.
To be more specific, you DO NOT even have to disassemble any cables, such as clutch, brake line AT ALL!

Remember! This is ONLY for 2010 Electra Glide Ultra limited, and it may be the same to early models, and 2011, but I am not sure.

Here we go!

Required Tools and parts:
  • Torx wrenches
  • Allen wrenches (preferred rounded head)
  • One (1)Small flat head screw driver
  • One (1), any kind of speedometer cable, if available, or a three foot long of copper wire (12, or 10 gauge).
  • Dielectric greese
  • Few small size cable ties
  • Two (2) socks
  • Two (2) large bath towels
  • One (1) motorcycle/RTV lift.  It is not required, but it will make your live, much easier.  Invest one, if you will work on your bike sometimes. :)
  • One (1) Harley 2" Pull Back Handlebar
How I do it!

Step 1:  Refer to this post to prepare your bike, and remove the fairing, and all the connectors that need to be disconnected.

Step 2:  To be continued...

Step 2

Refer to the service manual to remove the ignition switch (Start at the below LARGE yellow arrow, not two small ones).  Next remove the two screws on both side of the rear fairing as seen in the below second photo.

Step 3 (left handlebar)

Remove four screws on the switch housing, and carefully to detach the switch housing, and left mirror holder.  Let them hang on the attached cable by themselves. Be gentle, and DO NOT PULL ON THE HANDLE!  Just leave it there for now.  I will tell you, or you will see why later.

Step 4

Disconnect this connector (yellow arrow), so you can pull the left grip off the handlebar ; there is no glue as many people have said.  You can follow (pull) the cable that run through the handlebar (left grip) to see what connector is the one you need to disconnect.  It's a every scientific method! :)
In the same time, also disconnect this connector (red arrow).  You need to unmount this connector from the frame as shown below (second photo, small red/yellow arrows).

You should be able to pull the grip and the heater element cable off the handlebar.

Step 5 (right grip):
