  • My partner has herself a 1200 XL C Custom..CG..Think it is the Low Butt version.
It has been sitting a bit and I think the carb is all gunked up..anybody know a good Ebay site to pick up a rebuild kit for the carb? Afraid to go to the Harley dealer...hate to see what they would charge.

  • Got the carb rebuilt,a little dirty from gas carmelizing, float was off by 5mm,seems like the choke lever was getting pulled back in when reved, that is fixed, new gas in tank with some Seafoam, new fuel line..now it runs like it should..really pulls hard and steady thru each gear ;D Air filter, plugs looked good a little lean  on the front cylinder but that should be corrected now.
On the test run had the left side cover fall off..clips seem to be loose,,,but got the cover back before a car ran over it..a little road rash, strip it down and repaint and it should look as good as new.
