  • Right now, with this heat, I think a water bottle holder would be the next purchase for me.  I'm thinking about getting one of those chrome bicycle wire style bottle holders and affix it to my engine guard.  It's just too friggin hot down here the last week.

Although, I could continue to keep it in the fork bag.  That might even keep it cool longer.

  • This is what I've paid for the water bottle holder:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110414814653

Don't buy the "cheap" one (bicycle), they will break off very easily.
I mount the holder on the left side of the handle bar, so it can hold a bottle, or a cup of coffee. :)
    I really like it!
    Good luck on the shopping.

  • Thanks.  I've seen those around quite a bit and have considered getting one of them.

  • Yeah, that's the one that I've seen on a few bikes around here.  I think it would pay for itself in no time.

Is that the one that you have?  If so, does it keep your drinks cool?

  • Yes, that is the one that I have been using.  It is not the best, but I like the simplicity, and the clean look.
Mounting is a little tricky; it requires a balance so it doesn't tip a full bottle of water.  But then, it is just me! :)
It will not hold the temperature at all.  Just a plain holder!
I know that there is a few cup holders claimed that it will keep the beverage cold, but I doubt that.  Beside, I have my cooler with me, so I always have a cold one. :)
