Tongue Weight and Front Wheel

  • I know we have talked about the tongue weight many, many times, but here is the "thing" that I want to make sure I go to the right direction. ;D
I set the tongue weight to 40lbs, I have the feeling that the front wheel is lifted up in the "air", while I am moving.
I am thinking about low down the tongue weight, but then what will it be when I pull the trailer uphill with a lighter tongue?
    Any info would be appreciated.

  • After lowing the tongue weight down to 35 lbs, it is a big difference.  The bike is more stable and run smoother. :)
Turn out, my trailer weight is almost 500 lbs. ;D  I hope I can pull it over the CA mountains.
6 more days, the real test will be done; Sturgis/and crossing the USA trip will determine either this bike pulling power. :-\
Tell me about yours, if you have a similar set up as mine.
    Thanks
