Mounting a camcorder on handlebar
« on: February 16, 2011, 01:50:24 AM »
Hi all,
I am trying to mount a digital camcorder and a camera on my motorcycle handlebar, and I am having a lot of hard time.  ;D
Below is the first video test with the camcorder, and the camera.
So far, I am very happy with the camera. This is not a High def camera. :)
Any tips for mounting would be appreciated.
Nick

This is the second test, and I am convinced that I have a good set up.
This clip is not edited.
What do you think?  Give me some feedback/suggestions.
Thanks

Here are some pix of the RAM mount on the handlebar.  The quick release of the top is very useful when detaching the camera from the mount.  Just a switch, then the camera is out! :)

Looks good.I use the same quick release on my still camera but be careful that you don't throw the lever over and force it,it will break as I did. Nice set up.
The more you know..the less you don't know.

Thanks Bill,
The quick release is a snap-in, and lock, so there is no "forcing" at all. :)
I couldn't wait for all the rides.
I will try not to be lazy, so I can bring home as many exciting pictures as I can.
